Construction and Demolition Diversion

A new approach to an old problem…

Environment Canada estimates that each year over 10 million tonnes of construction and demolition waste are buried in Canadian landfills. Diversion of this material has been gaining attention from both the public and private sectors. Many municipalities and private firms have recognized the need to implement the 3R’s (reduce, recycle and reuse) into their waste management plans.

Regional Waste Recovery is committed to diverting from landfill as much construction and demolition debris as possible. Today, Regional utilizes modern recycling equipment to capture recyclable material from the construction and demolition waste stream, not only diverting this material from landfill but turning waste into new products. We believe this is an environmental responsibility, because being Green isn’t just a catch phrase, it’s a philosophy.

We recycle the following material from your construction and demolition waste:

  • Wood
  • Cardboard
  •  Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals
  • Plastic
  • Asphalt
  • Shingles
  • Drywall
  • Rubble
