Some Ivor Wynne seats bought for charity returned

The Hamilton Tigercats reported in the Spectator that some of the seats that were purchased in an effort to raise money for a neighbourhood improvement fund have been returned for a refund.  You can read the whole story on the Hamilton Spectator site here Spectator article.  Overall the memorabilia sale raised more than $25,000.

Budget Environmental was awarded the job of taking down an iconic Hamilton landmark, Ivor Wynne Stadium.  Ivor Wynne was built in 1930 for the British Empire Games and has had an exceptionally long history of more than 80 years which is longer than most.

Speaking from experience, “what do you need?” is usually the first thing I hear when I step out of my vehicle at any given building site.  It’s usually done with a curious look, and “I know you want to sell me something” body language.  I understand the hesitation; I know that I am treading on important ground. I have learned over the years that the work site to the site supervisor is equal to a classroom for the professor.  It’s your home away from home.  It’s your pride, and you will do anything to make that site the most efficient it can possibly be.
